Ravens To Trade For Dolphins DE Jason Taylor?

Baltimore's ESPN Radio 1300 indicates that current Miami Dolphins DE Jason Taylor wants to be a Baltimore Raven and everything is pointing towards the fact that he will become one soon. The Ravens have reportedly already begun official trade talks with Miami, and are willing to provide either their 2nd or 3rd round 2009 draft picks for Taylor. A number of Ravens have reportedly tried to talk to Taylor about coming to Baltimore. At this point, this is still just speculation, as the Palm-Beach Post is already disputing it.

CHARGERS INTERESTED IN TAYLOR?

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that the San Diego Chargers have shown interest in Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor.

Write Salguero: “The Chargers are denying they have interest through sources that are talking to the San Diego Union-Tribune. But I KNOW they have interest in Taylor.” (Hey, Armando, did anyone ever tell you that using all caps is like SCREAMING IN SOMEONE’S EYEBALLS?)

Salguero points to the presence of former Fins G.M. Randy Mueller in San Diego as a reson for the Chargers’ interest in the 2006 Defensive Player of the Year. Salguero also believes that a third-round pick will get the deal done.

There’s also a rumor that was mentioned/reported/suggested on ESPN Radio Baltimore that the Ravens could make a run at Taylor. Our buddy Steve Davis of WBAL says that he’s talked to a couple of folks in the know, and that the Ravens aren’t interested.

If I had to guess....JT's Agent is the source of all these rumors...

How is going to Baltimore any closer to playing for a title? They have no qb, currently either Boller or Flacco. They arent going anywhere this year. SD makes sense because they are more of a contender and also he would be close to LA so he can have lunch with Denzel and Al Pacino whenever JT gets the urge.
